NAVIGATORLAB - DEMAND INTELLIGENCE

Where will your category grow next?

NavigatorLab maps who buys, when and why they buy, and what every space is worth. Evidence behind every where-to-play call.

Most teams answer it with guesswork.
Growth goes to the brands that see demand first.

Turn hidden demand
into clear strategy.

THE METHOD

Three dimensions.
One map.

Three layers make the map: the people who buy, the moments they buy in, and the spaces where the two meet. Each drawn from evidence.

01

TYPOLOGIES

Who buys

Behavioural segments discovered in published category research and grounded in a publicly available 40-million-respondent personality dataset spanning 158 countries. Real clusters with real population shares, straight from the data.

02

OCCASIONS

When, and why

The rituals, moments and mindsets that trigger demand: the big night in, the 3pm office lift, the motorway stop. Every occasion mapped, weighted, and tied to its share of consumption.

DEMAND SPACES

Where to play

Cross a typology with an occasion and you get a demand space: a unique set of functional and emotional needs that a brand can own. Every space is sized in value and scored for growth. This is the map your competitors are missing.

THE MAP

Understand where the growth is coming from.

Typologies across the top, occasions down the side. Every crossing is a demand space, sized by the platform in an illustrative run on a real category: sugar confectionery in the United Kingdom. The bigger the circle, the more money in the space.

THE PLATFORM

The map becomes
a platform.

Name a category and a market. NavigatorLab researches, segments, sizes and illustrates the whole demand map in a matter of hours. What you get is a working platform: every screen below is live.

01 / TYPOLOGIES

Meet the people behind the numbers

Every segment gets a collectible watercolour card: motivations, media habits, retail channels, and an exact population share drawn from the publicly available 40-million-respondent dataset. Tap any card for the full profile.

02 / OCCASIONS

See the moments that move the category

Each occasion carries its share of consumption, from the after-school corner shop run to the big night in. You see at a glance which moments carry the category and which are noise.

03 / DEMAND SPACES

Explore every intersection

Every intersection becomes a card with hard numbers: £39.0M for a quiet evening in front of the TV, £7.4M at the motorway services. Filter by value, share or growth.

04 / ANALYTICS

From map to money

Growth, value and opportunity scores turn the map into a ranked agenda. You leave with a shortlist: where to play, in order.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Three questions, answered.

What is a demand space?

A demand space is the intersection of a consumer typology and an occasion: one group of people, in one moment, with a shared set of functional and emotional needs. Cross every typology with every occasion and you get a map of the whole category, with each demand space sized in market value. A brand can own a demand space.

What is demand space analysis?

Demand space analysis maps a category as a grid of typologies (who buys) and occasions (when and why they buy), then sizes every intersection in value. The output is a demand map: where demand concentrates, which spaces are growing, and which are underserved - the evidence a brand needs to choose where to play.

How do you find where a category will grow next?

NavigatorLab combines published category research, a publicly available 40-million-respondent personality dataset covering 158 countries, and live search-demand signals from 20 markets to size every demand space and score its growth. Where high value meets rising demand and weak competition is where a category grows next.
